OMG Bob, we must have been in the same Chemistry class! I had Ms. Johnson for that class, and Clark was in that class too. Although I can't tell you one single thing about Chemistry, I do remember Clark telling Mrs. Johnson the dirty joke about Snow White getting fired from Disney World for sitting on top of Pinnochio's face and saying "lie, lie!!!"...she didn't think it was so funny! ;D

I distinctly remember Larry Plympton and Keith Profita in the class. I think we were all in the same lab table. Ha, I remember something else really funny; do you recall a multiple choice test where a string of the answers spelled out D-I-C-K? What a riot that class was. But like you said, I can't tell you one single thing about chemistry! ;D

I'd forgotten about so many of those great places and events. WOW. And, my personal favorite was always the Battle of the Bands and hanging out at the Boozewah (how the hell do you spell it) with Wendy Ray and Dan Coella. Man those two could drink! I probably would have escaped alcoholism if they hadn't tainted me - HA! Thank God Wendy and I had a common thread - drinking - otherwise I would have never passed aerobics class without actually moving my feet!
I remember Stacy W - Weil? dancing a lot and that disgusting car the we drove to school in. My Dad still talks about it - says she is the only person that he ever knew to have roaches in a car. And, yes, it was true - gross - but better than riding the bus. Where is she now??
Shelly - you were very sheltered! Oh the things we had to teach you at UF! Just kidding!
And, Pam's crush ... let's say realized ... on Wayne Gent. We did have a good Grad party at Scott Owens' house!

You know Bob, I think that the boy that got hit by the boat was the last straw and they cut the rope swing down. There was a boy that did swing off the rope and he landed too close to a gator's nest and the gator bit his leg and dragged him under the water. (that's how the urban legend went) There was also the time when a water skier slammed into one of the bridge's post and he got splattered. But enough of that! I think I was at the Cobb every Saturday watching some movie and yes Kelly, I did drive in the OB Mall's parking lot trying to hit 88 MPH. My Sophmore year I worked at Jefferson Ward as a stock boy. I was driving a forklift before I drove a car HAHA! I remember my first Chrismas Season there was a living HELL! It was the year that EVERY parent was buying those Cabbage Patch Dolls. I was almost torn limb from limb by those crazed maniacs I mentioned this before, but Friday-Saturday night was also taking the long drive to Stuart and going to dance at "The Happening"!! Kristine- Remember when you, Lori Fallon and I went to see Purple Rain at the Sunrise Theater? Didn't we have to get someone to buy us tickets because it was rated R?

Now I remember some more useless crap. There was a department store named Zayres or something like that. My job was to push around the shopping cart with the flashing light for the 'Yellow Light Sales'. This also included the Cabbage Patch dolls. When I knew I was going to quit, I had a little fun. All the bargain shoppers used to follow me and that damned cart, so I pushed it right into the mens room. Damn, that was funny. They followed me like I was the pied piper and just waited outside of the bathroom for like half an hour or so. I got fired on the spot! What a riot, that was too funny.

Stacey Weil was crazy! I think all her clothes were from the Goodwill. I do remember practicing our dance moves in front of Little Caesars on US 1. I cant believe we ate the pizza there because you would go in and they would be having dough fights which would end up in someone's hair. Also, if you didnt go to Dipper Dan's then you went to Carvels in the Jefferson Plaza. I do remember Zayre's. I worked at "Kick in the Pants" before about 2 weeks and hated it. That place was so overpriced it was pathetic. I think the only party for graduation was at Scott's house. I thought that was a little weird the Coach Gent was there at the party. We all thought he was trolling for girls since they were no longer untouchable. I wonder if Scott ever gets anymore perms in his hair. I remember when he got one and when he came into our English class, Mrs. Boren started laughing at him.

I remember the black labrador that wandered the halls and went into the classrooms at White City Elementary. The dog's name was Sherman. Does anyone else remember that? I remember how I felt so important when he would come into the classroom and sit near my desk (funny what is important to a kid).
I also remember Jefferson Wards--I worked there my Junior and Senior years. They closed during my senior year and I remember the long lines and people getting so angry. I also remember the drive-in theater on US1, next to Dale's BBQ.

Yes, James, I do remember going to see Purple Rain in the theatre. But, I don't remember if we had someone buy us tickets or did we lie about our age? I also remember going to see Prince in concert when I was in 11th grade. One of the best concerts I ever saw.
James, do you ever miss your forest green "Scamp"? haha Remember the time a whole bunch of us were stuffed in Chris Hurst's Monte Carlo and he rear-ended that guy and blew out the guy's back window? Freaky stuff. The guy's back was all bloody from all the glass.
I remember watching all those Faces of Death movies too. Gross!!! Kids do strange things for entertainment!
Ladies, do you all remember when the Lightning Bolt purses (the ones with the velcro closure) were the item to have? I remember one day I was holding mine on top of my books and some kid ran by and tried to snatch it. And, of course, Members Only jackets!

Ahh... my green Scamp, Yeah I miss that car. It was my first car and it cost about $700. The only bad thing was it got rear-ended so many times leaving Central on Edwards Rd. That thing was a tank and besides paint marks from other cars you'd never would have known I was in an accident. I wonder if I have any pics of it still? Chris' Monte Carlo accident still haunts me! That guy was pretty cut up from the shattered glass. That happened on Floresta right? I remember seeing the Purple Rain concert down in Miami at the Orange bowl, which they call the Purple Bowl for the concert. I wish I could remember the guy's name that drove down there. Cindy- That drive-in was great! one of the last things I saw there was Dune. Too bad all the drug deals going on in there got it shut down

Yes I remember the dog from White City. I think he was already old when we were going there. There's a car dealership where the old drive-in used to be but they kept the big block screen.

Ha ha ha - I LIKE the way Bob quotes James and then follows with , "ah I just remembered a bunch more useless crap"!!
That one made me crack up, my dog now thinks I'm crazy.
Yes I remember the dog Sherman! A lady from my church at that time, Margie Nungester, was the manager of the White City Cafeteria and would always tell me about how they kept Sherman fed and stuff. I heard Mrs. Nungester passed away a few years ago.
As far as where I used to work it was always as a waitress - first the KMart restaurant, then Po Folks, then Shoneys.
Clark, I remember distinctly you talking A LOT about you going to see Robin Wiliams in his stand up or something like that. Do you remember that?
Gosh walkin' down memory lane is so cool....

Alas, here I am laughing all by myself. Insane? Probably a little. Well, heres some more stuff (useless) that I remember. Again, somehow I remember Clark, Peter and James when it comes to all of the hilarity. Who the hell slid into the door at the end of the hall and broke the glass? I think it was on a second floor, but I can't be too sure. Also, I remember who said the following, but I can't remember to whom. For the sake of not destroying someones privacy, however, I wont mention names. What was shouted from one end of the hall to the other that still echo's the sentiment of most of the hormonal teens "I want to lick you all over!" I never saw so many heads whip around so fast! Geez, man, I wish I could remember more! Oh yeah, didn't someone run over the guards shack? Oh man, here's one more. Mr. Taylor telling us that the class was like a mens room. He said that there were nothing but a bunch of d*cks hanging out. And also, when we had to use the bathroom, Mr Taylor would tell us to mention his name and we'd get a good seat. thank you ladies and germs, I'm here 'til Friday.
