OK, since some of you are confessed computer illiterate, I was thinking you might be missing out on some great stuff on You Tube.
Personally, You Tube adds a whole new dimension to surfing the web.
Please to enjoy!!

Yes, it was called Mazes and Monsters and starred Tom Hanks! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazes_and_Monsters_%28novel%29Man, I remember playing D&D for hours on end. I had a whole folder devoted to characters and art work. Around 6th or 7th grade, Larry Plympton, Kurt Rinear and I also got into Gamma World, but I think we spent most of our time designing weapon systems and body armor. Here's a classic image:

I don't think that's done in D&D.

I miss the Gama World days, that was a fun game system. Speaking of Kurt Rinear, has anyone heard from him in the last few years?
Mike, I am truly sorry you never got to play D&D with us. We had some good times. To this day, I still play. Now in addition to World of Warcraft, my wife, my son, and I host D&D 3.5 every Saturday evening, and we raise hell and have a great time.
Many things have changed, and the most recent version is incredible, and there is a huge amount of reference material out there. There are literally thousands of books and supplements available, but the only one you need to lrn2play in the Player's Handbook.
If anyone is still interested in playing, check Yahoo groups for D&D or RPG groups in your area. I've also looked into some of the play by mail or email systems, but haven't had a chance to try any out. (WoW = time sink, and @ midnight last night we waited in line and got our copies of the WoW expansion pack called Burning Crusades! Can yuo say sleepless for the foreseable future? LMAO!)
Hugs all, Lush.

D&D must've been a guy thing...I never understood the lure of it. Speaking of 80's t.v.....let's hear some of what everyone was watching "back in the day". I for one was a huge Miami Vice fan. Anyone see the Miami Vice flick with Colin Ferrell? Although I thought it was an "ok" movie, it really had very little to do with the original M.V....I was a little disappointed I have to say.

Tammi dont feel so bad I never got into D&D myself, but I was a major Pac Manaholic. Miami Vice was OK but hands down I love the original Miami Vice.

When I heard that Michael Mann didn't want this picture to be anything like the TV show, because He hated the TV show. I refused to see it. It's one thing to revision your project, but to dismiss the fact that the TV show even existed and scorn many of the show's fans dosen't deserve a dime of my money.

Camielle - PacMan and Ms. Pac Man are my favorite. When I had surgery a couple of years ago, I had my nephew rig my game up to the hospital TV so I could play in the middle of the night. The nurses thought I was nuts! But, it kept me from killing them for poking needles in me! One day, I want to buy a full size Pac Man machine for my house. Of course, since I just sold my house & moved 1,000 miles away ... that will be WAYYYY down the road! For now, I settle for the little joystick one that hooks up to my HDTV!
