There are some things that I thought I would not have to go through for years. Last week, my boyfriend (age 41) started having chest pains. We went to the hospital and thank god it wasn't a heart attack but it did turn out to be a clogged artery. Happy ending is that they put a stint in and he is home resting and ready to get back to work. They tell him he has to change his whole lifestyle. (he's a workaholic) It really scared me because these are things you just dont think you'll have to deal with for at least another twenty years. Are we all running ourselves into an early grave with the pace we keep?

Man that stinks, yeah diet, genetics, lifestyle, and stress are big factors
my wife has a big family, and in the last 3 years 1 brother died from a heart attack and 2 more had them..

Of course it runs in his family so this was caught early. Someone had rear-ended him the night before and the airbag went off. The accident may have helped trigger the pain. This has been a big wake-up call for us and I am definitely going to stay on his case. Once the holiday season is over, his work will at least slow down.

I can't Imagine Mike, I got up to 223 lbs last year, and I had to make a change, I felt winded after a 30 yard run.. because I restarted and have two kids under the age of 4, I made a real effort to loose weight since my birthday, my goal was 203, and with the New Year 3 weeks away, last time I was on the scale I was 205.. I feel like a new man..

Sorry to hear about your Boyfriend Kelly, but glad he is better. All I can tell you is to stick with it and stay on his case.
I was nowhere near your size Mike, but Clark I did get to my all-time high of 216 about 2 months ago and have made eating changes that I never thought I could do. I'm bouncing between 208 & 210 right now and I have noticed a change for the good .
I'd love to get to 190 by my birthday
