I didn't have my own car in HS, but my parents let me drive theirs occasionally, a 1984 Pontiac Sunbird SE Turbo. This is the best picture I could find on the web. Ours was metallic blue with grey along the bottom. It was pretty fast for that time and I got into a little trouble with it. <I need a devilish grin smiley face here> I think the only cassette I ever played in it was Bryan Adams' Cuts Like A Knife. Sound familiar Beppe?

Shoot we had a 1976 or 1978 sky blue Chevy Malibu that was as ugly as sin. My stepdad loved that car and after he died my mother wanted me to keep it. I decided it was cooler to ride the cheesewagon than drive places where people that knew me could see me. That car was FUGLY.

Yeah, and walkmans too! Our car had an 8 track player but we never owned any 8 tracks. To this day I have no idea what one is, but we had one in that fugly sky blue Malibu

I had so many tapes from that store. I think there was a time I bought one album every Friday (payday at All-American Hero) $5.99 and they came with a guarantee against "squeaks"

dustan 310, an awesome driving machine. yes boy & girls, this beauty was all mine. i saw this gold wonder several time while riding my bike down prima vista in p.s.l. one of the few features (well it may not have been truly a "feature" but i thought it was pretty damn cool) was what became know in my world as the "make out button". let me explain, the drivers side, of the front passengers seat had a button that made the passengers seat recline. when your a 16 year old dude the "make out button" can be a deal breaker when deciding to buy an automobile. i worked at barnett bank on the corner of us1 & prima vista. it took me a few days to get up the nerve to go in the loan officers office but when i did, the conversation went something like this: peter: (poking my head in the door) um.........sir...........id like to inquire about obtaining an automobile loan very cool loan officer: sure pete, come on in peter: id like to purchase a automobile so i can make it to work on time every day very cool loan officer: does this car have a big back seat? peter: no, but its got a "make out button" very cool loan officer: how much do you need? peter: $650.00 very cool loan officer: how about we give you $1000.00 i bought the car & spent the extra cash on liquor & the bitchin surf board in the picture

The "make out button" and the cheap price would have made this beauty mine as well.

I'd say that was $1,000 well spent! Since I'm a modern woman, hell yeah the make out button would have been the thing that sealed the deal for me! Eat your heart out Batman, I bet the Batmobile never had that feature in it! LOL the Studmobile.

Haha. I remember that car Peter. Didn't it have a big but print in the windshield? I also seem to remember a Pacer in your life.
