Got an email today from Adrian Harvey (D'Amico) with this information:
Brick Pavers
Fort Pierce Central is a school rich in history and traditions. As we begin our transition to a new site, we are committed to carrying, as much as possible, of that history and those traditions with us. As alumni and friends of Fort Pierce Central who would like for the traditions to continue, we are offering an opportunity for you to participate in making the old a part of the new Fort Pierce Central. In the area in front of the auditorium at the new site, as a part of the sidewalk, we will fill with brick pavers. The engraved pavers will provide a permanent place for you to reminisce and be reminded of what Fort Pierce Central has meant over the years. The pavers are 2 ΒΌβ X 4β X 8β. There is space for 3 lines of 18 characters per line (including all punctuation and spacing). E ach line of text will be centered on the brick. Example:
John D. Perdue
First Principal
1970-72
The first line, John D. Perdue contains 14 characters. There is a space between John and D, and after D, there is a period and space.
This is your opportunity to become apart of the history of Fort Pierce Central. Complete with your message, special dates, accolades or memorial (all messages will be approved or disapproved by the Commemorations Committee). Times New Roman font will be used for all engraving. Please print legibly. Any typographical errors will be corrected at your expense.
The cost per brick is $ 50. Payment is due at the time the order is placed. The deadline is March 20, 2008. All checks should be made payable to Fort Pierce Central and directed to the attention of Mrs. BJ Miller-Jenkins or Dr. Gloria B. Dickerson
