Okay ... dumb new thread.
I am one of those people who when flipping through the channels, I can't resist stopping on replays of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, and my fav-o-fav that I have seen at least a hundred times ~ Breakfast Club.
I was thinking that Peter Von most reminded me of Judd Nelson (Bender) in The Breakfast Club ... back when von had hair. (And he had GREAT hair!!)
Tammi H. and Kelly H. rolled into one were the epitome of Molly Ringwald (Claire) from that movie!! I could totally see Tammi bringing sushi for lunch!! I remember a stint where she ate pineapple cream cheese sandwiches for like a month straight.
Beth Smith may have been the Ally Sheedy character. Not in a mean way at all ... just quirky with underlying beauty.
So who best fits Emilio Estevez and Anthony Michael Hall from that movie??
Nominate your own movie character likeness ...

Nominate your own movie character likeness ... while i appreciate complement, i always thought of myself as more of a lloyd dobler (say anything) type guy as a teenager. "i don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. i don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. you know, as a career, i don't want to do that." and more of a rob gordon (high fidelity) type guy as an adult. "hey, i'm not the smartest guy in the world, but i'm certainly not the dumbest. i mean, i've read books like "the unbearable lightness of being" and "love in the time of cholera", and i think i've understood them. they're about girls, right? just kidding. but i have to say my all-time favorite book is johnny cash's autobiography "cash" by johnny cash." both roles are played by john cusack. i guess if someone was to make a movie of my life, he is the man id like to play me. hes gonna have to shave his head though

John Cusack is HOT! Him and Robert Downey, Jr ... the men of my dreams forever and for always!!
I can see Peter as Lloyd Dobler!! But you were more "edge of bad boy".

OMG Peter...you must have read my mind! John Cusack is one of my favorite actors of all time...I just bought "Say Anything" off of the $5 DVD rack at Wal-Mart the other day and I couldn't help but thinking "gawd, he reminds me so much of PVT in high school". Isn't that weird???

Tammy, I'd say for the part of Emilio Estevez...being such a "good old american apple pie" kinda character...I'd put him with Paul Lambertson...you know, all around played sports and smart kind of guy. But...if you're going for who LOOKS more like Emilio in Breakfast Club...maybe Michael Kinnaman? For the Anthony Michael Hall character.....hmmm, that's a bit tougher...who were our "science geeks" (no offense)...Ricky Rogus?
I STILL watch 80's movies too...some of my faves being Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles....and btw, how in the heck can you remember me with the cream cheese/pineapple sandwich thing? You have a great memory Tammy!

Who said "Edge of Bad Boy" was a bad thing??? Maybe you would like "aura of mystery" better? John Cusack in the teen years tended to play "wholesome" characters But too much wholesome-ness tends to get boring. He got much better with age. I like "bad boy" better than wholesome ... ergo my extreme fondness for Robert Downey Jr. And by the way ... in response to Tammi H. .... where is Ricky Rogus on our forum. I posted the question in the "Someone Missing?" thread after I failed to find him in the R's. Also, Paul Lambertson is totally the Emilio Estevez character in the Breakfast Club (Except brainier).

I think I have (almost) every John Cusack movie he ever starred in. I love, love, love him! And Robert Downey Jr. has made a huge comeback with Iron Man...he was totally "cut" in that movie!
Hey Tammy, do you remember the class project we worked on in Ms. Baker's class? You, Paul Lambertson and I had to write that paper and we had dinner at Ms. Baker's class? She was such a fun teacher!

Interesting thread....I have been told about a dozen times that I remind people of Brett Butler from Grace Under Fire. I don't see it, except maybe the hair, but I guess our humor is the same too.
LOL< that wasn't exactly a big screen comparison, but TV counts too doesn't it?
Anyone else get told they look or act like someone on TV?

I can kinda see Romano as Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off ...
Who would be our Matthew Broderick from WarGames? Creative and frighteningly smart computer geek?
Or, who fits the bill for Kevin Bacon in Footloose??
Or, did we have a Corey and Corey from License to Drive?
If no takers on those movies, lets do "Weird Science" ...
Is it just me, or is there a resemblence between old school Tom Hanks ( Man with One Red Shoe ) and Donald Johnson? What is Donald doing these days? Anybody heard from him. I saw him right after he got out of the Navy at IRCC but don't know what happened to him after that.
