OK Von and I talked about this a little while back before this board was made. How many of you remember old stomping grounds? Pete and I remember going almost every Friday night to "The Happening" down in Stuart. The building has long been demolished, but man those memories are still burned in my brain. Good times...Good times

searstown parking lot, the orange blossom mall & the river on the way out to south beach (great place to go parking back in the day) all come to mind.

I remember going down to the Happening in Stuart. I got my first parking ticket there. Man, did it feel so grown up to go down and hang out. Yes Mike there was a club just south of Midway on US 1. Of course, the place to be was the Orange Blossom Mall. Does anyone remember at Christmas time how they had live reindeer in there? God, they stunk to high heaven!!

The teen club at Midway & US 1 was "The Library", I maybe went there 3 times.
I do remember the live reindeer Kelly!! They were next to Santa right? I wonder how that guy stood the smell during his shift?
Speaking of the Orange Blossom Mall and old hangouts, remember Diamond Jim's arcade? I spent way too many of my quarters there. I had a job in the food court at All-American Hero which was right across from it, so it tempted me and called for me to come inside and play HAHA!

I used to love "all american hero" the plexi glass melted above the grill from the heat and greese splater... God Damn great cheese steak.. As for "the Library" I met my first wife there... if I'd have know the heartache that place would cause I would have blown the fucking place up ... but such is life and most country songs

I used to cook the crap out of those cheese steaks. Still do today (but I do it for the family now ), that shit never leaves your memory when you made them as much as I did. Also the smell of fresh baked Original Cookie Company is burned in my memory b/c of being next to All American Hero

I worked at Claire's Boutique and then Brooke's Fashions. I liked that hamburger place that used to be open in the morning that made homemade donuts.

I recall the "Searstown" parking lot, The Library, and there was one called "Celebration" also on U.S.1 that some kid died at and I was banned to ever go to (but of course did anyway). The Orange Blossom Mall WAS the place to be, it's so sad now that there are like no stores and it's basically I think offices for the county now, and the School Board offices are there too. Weird. I recall that restaurant "Raffles" or something being pretty good too. Oh...and the Tape Deck, gawd that place is STILL in the old Searstown!

Holy Crap! the Tape Deck is STILL in business there? Raffles sounds familiar, but I can't place it.
