I remember the year that it was real muddy there, and a friend of mine through me in the mud face first. She ran up behind me, picked me up, and flung! At first I was pissed, but then I realized how hysterical it was!

Hi everybody: as I have posted previously, we are trying to move to Texas. Well, I thought I'd give everyone an update on what's been going on. The update is more for my benefit really -- I need to vent! Let me take you back a few months...We put our house on the market in October of 2006. Within a couple of weeks, we had a contract and we were supposed to close at the end of November. Ten days before closing, we got a phone call that the buyers were arrested (yes, arrested) for drugs. Possession, manufacturing, trafficking, the whole kit and kaboodle. The sheriff had gone to their house to execute a search warrant and caught the guy in the kitchen cooking crack. They also had pot and pills in the house. The woman is a nurse at Lawnwood, so they figure that's where the pills came from. Lo and behold, end of that deal, life moves on, we put the house back on the market. Within a couple more weeks, we got another contract and we were supposed to close on Dec. 29th. On Dec. 27th the buyers asked for an extension to get their loan until Jan. 10th. Mind you, at this point we are 90% packed and emotionally ready to go. Jan. 10th comes and goes, no loan yet. Our realtor called the lender directly and is told that the buyers will not be approved because their credit score is too low. Lo and behold, end of deal number two, back on the market we go. As a result, I have been in an incredibly crappy mood for the last couple of weeks. We are basically living out of boxes, unpacking things as we need them. My poor kids are very frustrated because so many of their toys are packed. None of us knows from one day to the next if we are coming or going. Since going back on the market we have had a couple people look at the house, but no contract yet. This has been the most frustrating ordeal I have ever experienced. We are not giving up. We are trudging forward and still determined to get to Texas, come hell or high water. At this point, any positive energy that anybody can send our way would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for listening (or reading, I should say). I feel a little better. Kristine

Kristine I'm sending you oodles of positive energy, good luck with the house, I know it gets frustrated when plans don't come together like we want but it will happen, till then try to keep your children happy the best you can and keep your sanity intact.

WOW that's insane Kristine!! It took almost a year for us to sell our house in Jensen while we lived up here. Paying 2 mortgages is not recommended to anyone!
Don't give up hope Kristine, you WILL make it out to Texas

It looks like a really nice house Kristine, it will make someone a great place to live...
On the other hand, if you really want to sell it fast, forget putting down tile or new cabinets in the kitchen, put in grow lights or a meth lab in the garage.. after all it is Pot Saint Lucie..

It sounds like that's what the original buyers were probably going to turn it into to.

Okay everybody -- it's official. We have sold our house, AGAIN! The buyer is a police officer so odds are he is not a crack dealer. He also has been approved for the loan so there is another hurdle crossed. We are closing on the 23rd of March and on our way to Texas that same day. Keep thinking the good thoughts for us -- we're almost there!
