There is a local band here that actually tours and has a couple of cd's. My daughters are familiar with their music and call it 'emo'. The band used to be called Sarcasm but have changed the name to something I just can't remember. Anyway, to make a long story short, I met the founding (and current) members of the band because they are deli clerks where I get eats nearly every day. Have you ever heard of them before?

Well well well! I did a little asking around (my kids) and the new band formed from Sarcasm is named "Drama For The Masses." Same type of music, I suppose. Oh well, I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Well, then there's a small band that plays locally all the time - well maybe not so small. Zebra. Their head man plays at a biker bar a couple miles from my house every Tuesday. The bar is called Juggs and Strokers. How do you like that name?? Best wings in town (except for Hooters!) Every now and then we here from Dee Snyder too. I don't know him or Randy Jackson personally though.
Peace out homies!

Yeah, Zebra is a very good cover band, for the most part. The do a lot of Zep. I know he usually plays "Tell me What You Want" in his gigs, it seems to be his signature song. I don't know where James has been. Seems as though a lot of people haven't really checked in. It'd be nice to hear from him and everyone else for that matter. Ciao

Hey Peter, what is Into The Wild about? I haven't been to the movies since I saw the Chuck and Larry movie which by the way was hysterical! I have only been to some mainstream concerts this year, nothing that would impress you PVT...lol...but I did get to see the Police back in July, they were awesome of course. Hey, the other day I came across some of my old albums on vinyl that I had packed away and it was so funny. Of course most of them were from the high school era, and even back then I had a weird mix of stuff...I had Lionel Ritchie, A lot of Billy Idol, Ratt, Quiet Riot and even some Dead Kennedys. Too funny. I have an old Generation X CD at home also that my daughter wanted to put in to check it out, of course she hated it, but I had completely forgotten that I had the thing. Brought back memories of the Tape Deck again because I'm pretty sure that's where I bought it.

"into the wild" is a true story of a college graduate who pretty much drops out of society in order to find his place in the world. i read the book a few years ago & was very impressed with it. i was pretty excited when i heard sean penn was making it into a film. i think youd like it tammi. i wouldn't be surprised if it won some awards. we went to see "king of california" www.firstlookstudios.com/films/king/on friday. it was also really well done. im not a big michael dougles fan but he is really great in this film.

one last round for 2007 december 1. Coleman Hawkins - At Ease With Coleman Hawkins cool, very easy to listen to jazz from 1960 2. Sam Rivers - Waves if you don't like jazz, then this isn't a album to try to start liking it with (try the coleman hawkins album). mr rivers cut his teeth in the jazz world playing with miles davis and tony williams. lives in orlando now, if you are really lucky you can find him playing in any of our hole in the wall, dive bar, music halls. ive seen him about a dozen times & each time is amazing. the guy is 84 & still swings. i hope i can be half as cool as he is someday. 3. El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead underground hip-hop with a very impressive (& utilised & unhip-hop) guest list. people like trent reznor, tunde adebimpe from tv on the Radio, members of the mars volta 4. I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch In the House - Creepy Little Noises bluesy & soulful one man band. makes me wanna drink whiskey (but then again, most things make me wanna drink whiskey). 5. Amusement Parks On Fire - Amusement Parks On Fire my friends band is putting out their 2nd cd on dec 14th. if you like springsteen, the clash or tom petty, you will like them. check em out here: www.myspace.com/gasolineheartif you like them, you can order the cd or other stuff here: www.districtlines.com/GasolineHeart/Musicas always..... xxxoooo, peter von
