Ahh, the good old 80's "hair bands". I used to love RATT too! It's funny how all those band are trying to make comebacks doing these reunion tours...I wanted to see one of them down here at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, but found out about it too late.

You're right about the bands trying to make a comeback! I saw Foriegner and Styx last summer at Jones Beach (awesome) and David Lee Roth and Dee Snyder I think are, or were, DJ's here in New York. Oh yeah, how about Tommy Lee Goes To College? I watched every episode! Every now and then you hear some noise at the local spots here on Long Island when home grown bands like Twisted Sister, Blue Oyster Cult and Zebra play. And lets not forget Billy Joel breaking records for most consecutive sold out shows at Madison Square garden.

I loved Tommy Lee goes to college, it was TOO funny! But then again, I am a self-proclaimed reality show junkie! ;D

I used to go to House of Blues alot when I lived in Orlando. I've seen Rick Springfield 3 times. I've also seen Eddie Money, Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung and Gene loves Jezebel. I actually had Mike Reno from Loverboy stop by my table at City Jazz. The one I did love the most going to was to see Sting. That was the best concert I have ever been to.

I STILL love 80's music -- thank God for satellite radio (Hair Nation on Sirius is the BEST!) Of course, I absolutely worshipped Def Leppard in HS, and I FINALLY got to see them in concert this year for the first time. I screamed and sang like a teenager the whole time (and had the sore throat the next day to show for it!) Made me feel like I was 17 again!

I know what you mean! I got to touch Rick Springfield and that's all I talked about the next day at work!

I saw Ratt, Poison, Crue, Cinderella and the Scorpions within the last two years and they still put on a great show. It's like being back in the day again a must see. I still listen to the radio stations that play 80's music; drives my kids crazy. I sound like my parents!!?

Hey, Me TOO! My daughter makes the whole like "gag me" motion whenever I play 80's music! And.....just like my parents before me, I find myself saying stupid things like "back when I was in high school the music was so much better, blah, blah". She's 13, so of course everything I do in her opinion is lame anyway .

I'm lucky, my kids actually like the same kind of music as me. They are always putting in requests in the truck for AC/DC, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, etc. My 10 year old wanted to go to the Def Leppard concert with me but I told her no way. Mommy has to have some time to act crazy by herself!

What's really great is that more places have retro night so I can still go out and dance to the music I love the most. The only new music that I may listen to now is alternative rock.

VH1 is featuring greatest songs of the 80s today - on New Year's Day. Wow! Talk about flashbacks! Thought you all might want to tune in as well!
Happy New Year! Cheryl
